Terms of Service

You must be able to enter a binding contract (and, if using Folia for an organization, be authorized to bind it). You are responsible for your account's security and all activity under it; we recommend enabling two-factor authentication or a passkey. You agree not to use the service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights; attempt unauthorized access; interfere with or disrupt the service; circumvent or tamper with licensing, security, or bot-protection measures; or resell/redistribute license keys except as expressly permitted.

Each license key activates one computer; the first computer to activate binds the key. After activation the software works offline and periodically re-checks entitlement (see the EULA and Privacy Policy). You may move a key to another computer using the self-serve "Move computer" function, which revokes the old machine first. To use Folia on more computers, buy additional licenses. Keys are personal to your account and must not be sold or transferred.

Plans (USD): Free $0; Student $12/year (or $1.50/month, requires verified academic status); Professional $48/year (or $5/month); Lifetime $50 one-time.

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record, subject to their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You may cancel any time: cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of your current paid term — we do not provide prorated refunds for unused time (see the Refund Policy for the 14-day window). Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no recurring charge. We may change prices; changes do not affect your current paid term. Prices may exclude taxes, which the Merchant of Record may add.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, and we do not warrant it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Folia is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, and our total aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so some may not apply to you.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, unlawful/abusive use, or as required by law; sections that by their nature survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits) continue. We may update these Terms and will note the date above; continued use after changes take effect is acceptance.
